The CAVAS mission
Our mission is to offer assistance and support services to anyone (women, men, LGBTQ+ individuals, people with an immigrant background, etc.) aged 12 and over who has been a victim of sexual violence (recent or past), as well as to their loved ones. Our various services are closely aligned with this mission.
CAVAS is located in Saint-Hyacinthe and Sorel.

History of CAVAS

Services are offered to parents of children sexually abused by a third party.

Change in clientele to help victims of intrafamilial or extrafamilial sexual assault, aged 6 to 18, mixed (boys/girls), as well as their parents.
Establishment of designated centres and creation of a roundtable on sexual assault. The findings show a lack of resources available for adult victims of sexual assault (regardless of gender).

Assistance and support services are now available to all victims of sexual assault (regardless of gender) aged 12 and over, and their loved ones.

CAVAS changes its logo.
After several years of activities and fundraising campaigns, CAVAS becomes an owner and changes location.
Its logo and website are revamped.
