The CAVAS mission

Our mission is to offer assistance and support services to anyone (women, men, LGBTQ+ individuals, people with an immigrant background, etc.) aged 12 and over who has been a victim of sexual violence (recent or past), as well as to their loved ones. Our various services are closely aligned with this mission.

CAVAS is located in Saint-Hyacinthe and Sorel.

Services are offered to parents of children sexually abused by a third party.

Change in clientele
Change in clientele

Change in clientele to help victims of intrafamilial or extrafamilial sexual assault, aged 6 to 18, mixed (boys/girls), as well as their parents.

Implementation of government guidelines on sexual assault.

Establishment of designated centres and creation of a roundtable on sexual assault. The findings show a lack of resources available for adult victims of sexual assault (regardless of gender).

2005
Au Coeur de l’Unisson updates its mission and adopts the name CAVAS.
